The Synergy Summit of the MAKE in Finland ecosystem (MAKE) brings together executives from Finnish industrial companies to discuss the future of manufacturing from the perspectives of operational capability and resilience across the entire value chain.
MAKE is a company-driven ecosystem operated by DIMECC Ltd., with the mission of strengthening the competitiveness of Finland’s manufacturing industry and ensuring that manufacturing remains in Finland. More than 60 industrial companies of various sizes within the MAKE network are committed to this shared mission.
The activities of the MAKE ecosystem provide professionals from partner companies with opportunities to network, share expertise, and develop competencies as well as research, development, and innovation activities. In addition, ecosystem partners are building a shared vision for the future of the industry and aim to jointly influence areas such as the industry’s image, as well as the availability of skilled talent and investments.
“Synergy Summit has become a highly anticipated annual tradition for MAKE. Although our operations are primarily built around expert collaboration, this forum has proven especially valuable for company leadership. It offers an opportunity once a year to pause together around strategic questions and discuss the industry’s shared challenges and future direction,” says Clémentine Arpiainen, Responsible Lead of MAKE in Finland at DIMECC.
“This year’s theme highlights the importance of collaboration at a time when the operating environment is changing rapidly and uncertainty is increasing. The competitiveness and reliability of Finland’s manufacturing industry are built on cooperation throughout the entire value chain. To ensure that Finnish manufacturing can meet future challenges as well, strong commitment and a shared vision from company leadership are essential,” Arpiainen continues.
Synergy Summit is an annual collaboration seminar for manufacturing industry executives. This year, the growing event is hosted by Nokia. Leaders from more than 40 companies will gather at Nokia’s Oulu factory on May 21. Previous events have been hosted by Wärtsilä in Vaasa, Konecranes in Hyvinkää, and Sandvik in Turku.
This year, participants will also visit the Pohjoinen Teollisuus trade fair.
