MAKE in Finland welcomes Oy Plastex Ab, a fourth-generation Finnish family-owned plastics company, to the ecosystem. Based in Lohja, Plastex brings long-standing manufacturing expertise and specialised capabilities in plastics production, industrial packaging and technical contract manufacturing to the MAKE community.
Founded in 1936, Plastex manufactures plastic products for both consumers and industry. The company’s core expertise is in blow moulding, complemented by injection moulding and capabilities covering product development, manufacturing and finishing.
For industrial customers, Plastex provides packaging solutions as well as technical contract manufacturing. Its blow-moulding expertise is used to manufacture products such as containers, tanks, flexible connectors and other hollow components. New products can be developed together with customers, combining product development with manufacturing expertise to identify suitable and cost-effective production methods.
Plastex manufactures its products at its factory in Lohja and continues to develop its production capabilities while expanding its activities in European markets. As a Finnish manufacturer with experience across both consumer and industrial applications, the company adds valuable plastics and contract-manufacturing expertise to the MAKE in Finland value chain.
